It all began innocently enough, we saw a commercial on TV that depicted the less-than-ideal care of a puppy as part of a marketing campaign that was itself unrelated to animal welfare. How odd we thought this was, but it inspired us to reach out to a local Austin no-kill animal shelter in order to see how we could help.
Initially, we ran a sale whereby we would donate $5 of each new signup to Austin Pets Alive. As we continued to communicate with the shelter though, it became clear that we could assist even further; we decided to host a pet adoption event at our Austin office.

The event was a resounding success. Many Austin residents came out and went home with new members of their families. Every single puppy was adopted, which we were told set a new event record. HostGator not only donated a $5,000 check to Austin Pets Alive, but also paid all the fees for each and every adoption. We’re incredibly happy to have found new homes for these puppies.
Gators clearly care for all the birds and beasts of the animal kingdom, certainly not just the swamp-dwelling ones!
